christmas essential (oils)
Anyone else love to EO? That's my short-term for essential oils. I love them. And I EO everyday.
Does it even work? Honestly, I don't know, but I have to believe the overall idea of EOs is that it does work or it can help (think allergies, smelly stuff, bug bites, or just chilling the f out... etc). I think at this point my diffuser needs to be thoroughly cleaned or it needs to go in the trash and me gets a new one. I'm open to recommendations, where it be the diffuser itself or the 'brand' of oils that you love the best. I have a Scentsy diffuser and I do love it, but not sure I want to spend that when there are other options at half the cost. No offense Scentsy, but I'd rather spend that cash on champagne.
So, in the spirit of Christmas, I wanted to share some holiday concoctions with the EOs.
Snowfall: 3 drops Lemongrass + 2 drops Peppermint + 3 drops Lavender
Peppermint Candy Can: 7 drops Peppermint + 3 drops Ylang Ylang
Christmas Eve Night: drops Cinnamon + 2 drops Peppermint + 2 drops Lemongrass
Cozy Night: 3 drops Frankincense + 3 drops Myrrh + 3 drops Sweet Orange
And, if you're into Jesus, you know Christmas is afterall a celebration of His birth. Knowing that Frankincense and Myrrh had something to do with Him, I did some research and found this interesting article from History.com (think History channel's online gig).
"At the time Jesus is thought to have been born, frankincense and myrrh may have been worth more than their weight in the third gift presented by the wise men."

Sidenote, the 'recipes' are from a book that came with some essential oils I bought off my ex-boyfriend, Amazon. Yes, Amazon and I broke up... but that's a whole other story.
